Engagement Settings: Bounce Rate, Time on Site, Page Depth

Behavioral factors are not a separate product. They are the settings every campaign carries: how many pages a session opens, how long it stays on each, how often it leaves on the first page and how often it comes back. Real browsers play them out on your site, and you pay the rate of the tool you run them in.

What Behavioral Factors Are

Behavioral factors are the engagement metrics a visit leaves behind. Analytics reports them, and search engines are known to look at some of them alongside relevance, links and many other signals.

The metrics these settings shape

Bounce rate
The share of sessions that end on the page they arrived at.
Time on page
How long a session stays on each page before moving on or leaving.
Page depth
How many pages a session opens, up to five.
Returning visitors
The share of sessions that arrive as a visitor the site has seen before.
Click-through rate
The share of searchers who click your listing. SERP Clicks works on this one, the others shape the visit after it.

Set them near what your site already records. Your analytics shows the baseline: bounce rate, average engagement time and views per session. Configuring far above it creates a second, unrelated pattern in your own reports.

Settings by Tool

All three tools continue the visit on your site; Traffic Generator gives you the full set

Bounce Rate

Traffic Generator: set the share of sessions that leave from the landing page.

Time on Page

Traffic Generator: up to 360 seconds per page. SERP Clicks and Link Clicker: up to 120 seconds per page after the click.

Page Depth

All three tools: from one to five pages per session.

Returning Visitors

Traffic Generator: set the share of sessions that come back as a known visitor.

Schedule

All three tools: spread the volume across the day or concentrate it in chosen hours, in your timezone.

Price Follows Duration

In Traffic Generator a longer session costs more, from $0.0015 per session. In SERP Clicks and Link Clicker the click price stays the same.

What Engagement Settings Do and Do Not Do

What it does

  • Shape the sessions a campaign delivers: pages opened, time spent, bounces and returns
  • Show in Google Analytics and in your server logs, so you can check them against your own baseline
  • Come with every tool at no extra charge; you pay the session or click rate of the tool

What it does not do

  • Do not guarantee rankings: engagement is one signal among many, and engines discount what they judge artificial
  • Do not turn sessions into leads or sales: there is no person behind them
  • Do not run on their own: they apply to a Traffic Generator, SERP Clicks or Link Clicker campaign

Acceptable use, data handling and the limits that apply to every tool are in the Trust Center
